Wouldn’t you want to know what the Taiwan Pavilion at the 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo looks like?
Taiwan is king of orchids, so obviously we should show off our orchids at the entrance to our pavilion.

You start walking through a tunnel made of bamboo.
This is the first entrance at the end of the bamboo tunnel.
You come to a dome made entirely of bamboo as well. This is while looking up inside the dome. The round hole at the top looks out to the sky, or the moon if you’re lucky.

This is what you see when you come out through the other side of the dome…a serene pool with white floating objects on the water. There is a long curved wooden bench around the pool for you to sit, rest and meditate.

Designer Michael Balston of the British Pavilion once said Taiwan Pavilion is the most beautiful of all pavilions at the Global Garden Area of the flora expo. He said “it will knock your socks off!” Why won’t you come to Taipei, visit the flora expo and see for yourself. The expo is on till April 25, 2011.
